Made $250 in less than 10 minutes. Here’s how:

Hey rebel,

I made $250 in less than 10 minutes. Here's how.

I've been a content creator for a couple of years (Melodies for Math) and managed to get into many circles with my following. One of them was Social Currant.

I joined their Slack group a couple of months ago -- and I saw an announcement saying they partnered with an org that was running a contest -- and that those who were a part of Social Currant would get $250 JUST FOR ENTERING.

I excitedly scoured the website of the contest for a good prompt to answer and then I found one: "What's an issue you CAN'T shut up about?"

I realized I actually made a video last year on Kumon and how it traumatized a whole generation of kids to despise learning.

I reposted the video, captioned that it was a part of the contest, added the hashtag, and I was basically good to go!

The takeaway is: Your next opportunity always comes from people you have good relationships with. To make good relationships, you need to put yourself out there.

Best way? To create content. Then soon enough, you'll have people paying you for your opinions. Which should take less than ten minutes.

Speaking of creators…

My honest review? It’s not just Kumon:

Because our whole education system gets an F from me.

Honestly. And that might be generous.

Because while tech is moving quickly with advancements left and right, where is our education system?

Possibly, maybe taking into consideration utilizing AI in the classroom…

And even with schools that are working to integrate AI, they’re missing the point.

Because it’s not just about mindlessly infusing AI in the classroom.

It is about moving away from the obsolete and teaching real-world, applicable life skills.

And if our schools haven’t caught up yet, it’s up to us as students to make sure our generation is prepared for the future ahead.
