I know what you’re thinking…And you’re wrong.
Hey rebel,
At 17 years old, I charged $10 to create a full website for a client.
At 19, I closed my first $2,000 deal as a content creator.
What changed in just 2 years? Me learning my VALUE.
Let's face it. If you undersell yourself or even opt to be paid per hour, you're never gonna be wealthy. All you're doing is selling your time for a check that's not enough to build generational wealth.
In the d'Skills IMPACT10 bootcamp, I help high school students build their own high quality streams of income. Here's what helped me 3x my income over the years.
True wealth comes from knowing your OWN worth (through your expertise and experience) as well as the VALUE of the problem that you're actually solving.
When you are looking to price yourself (or even negotiate a salary), work backwards. Think about how much money a business is currently LOSING by not addressing the issue you identified. Then think about how much they'll GAIN by you fixing it.
Put those together and come up with an offer that really highlights their return on investment and is representative of the expertise you bring to the table.
That way, you never lose.
Speaking of winners…
Cate, a star from our d’Skills sprints, collaborated with Carolina Family Chiropractic to produce a heartwarming promotional video, showcasing the family-friendly side of the business.
Not only that, but Cate also crafted d’Skills through conducting street interviews, fostering online communities, and crafting gen-z approved website reviews.
Check out Cate’s adventure and get inspired at dskills.io.
Look, I know what you’re thinking. And you’re wrong…
Let’s end on this survey: 200 active middle and high schoolers were surveyed on if and what they use AI for…
I know what you’re thinking.
And you’re wrong.
Because LESS THAN A THIRD of kids are turning in documents or projects that are completely AI-generated.
Instead, gen-z is using AI to come up with topic ideas or outlines or check math and coding problems.
Even better?
Middle schoolers are outrunning high schoolers in the AI world. They’re coming in more prepared and more efficient when they use AI.
Surprised?
I’m not -- specifically because it’s the world I’ve been trying to build.
Need help getting started with AI?
For a limited time, we are offering this 1-day workshop for FREE to create your own opportunities (like Cate’s) with AI!
