Here’s the thing…

I need you to realize that NOW is the BEST time to possibly make money by being creative? In the age of technology and AI, it's the easiest it has EVER been to build a following and sell things to people.

Businesses also need people who need artistic talent now more than ever and there's so many careers to choose from, and careers that we don't even know exist.

If I were a high schooler trying to make a living in art, there are the 2 things I would do RIGHT NOW to set myself up for success.

Back to my story:

So what are the two things I’d do RIGHT now??

1. Post REGULARLY on social media so people know who you are and what you can do. I posted almost daily on Melodies for Math (@melodiesformath on all socials) which caused the account to have more than 20K followers on tiktok, IG, and YouTube, and got me five figure brand deals.

2. Go to ChatGPT and type out all the artistic skills you currently have, and ask it to translate those skills to a business setting. An example prompt could be "I'm good at [blank]. What businesses can these skills help and how?" Once you identify those gaps, BRIDGE them! Yarimar Estrada made $750 from our d'Skills bootcamps by creating merch lines for startups because she realized her design skills could help a business grow.

Doing these 2 things will ensure that you have income coming in helping a business while growing your own following.

Don't let society tell you that you'll be broke if you don’t pursue a traditional path. If you play the right cards, you'll be fine.
