Being chronically online…

Hey Rebel,

I’m Swetha, the co-lead at d’Skills. I want to share a story with you…

A couple years ago - I was getting my fresh start as a YouTuber :D

Wrote songs explaining math (yup I was kind of a nerd)

Things were going swell until I hit that one point most newtubers dread… getting my first dislike and my first hate comment. They told me my music was bland, I was off-key, and the video editing was subpar.

What resulted was terrible. I was immediately questioning my self worth and even locked myself in my closet crying (I wish I was joking here but I’m not)

After my tears dried up, I saw that one of my followers commented that the song helped her greatly grasp the concept (& my voice teacher thought the song was NOT off-key).  At this moment I realized - I can literally choose to focus on those who care about me (including constructive criticism) instead of those who wanna tear me down.

THAT is what eventually got me to 20K subs and a five figure business.

People will always find excuses to hate, even content that’s helpful. The best thing to do is to be unapologetically you online and think about the people you’re helping by being 100% yourself.

Speaking about being online…

Let me brag about someone who created something awesome through social media despite the haters hating.

Nate is an IMPACT10 sprinter who combined AI and art into impact and income 🔥

He noticed that a lot of businesses (local and online) didn’t have good logos, so he created some with his own custom GPT and sold them :)

The key to his success was the fact that he documented his journey. His posts and stories on @logoloom_studios_ caught the eye of more and more brands and he ended up making $430+ throughout our 10 week bootcamp.

He could have dealt with haters online just like I did, since AI mixed with art is a touchy subject for many. But he stayed true to his vision and as a result, created an impact and a new path.

Nate isn’t the only one poppin’ online…

Listen in on the future of education unfold in the chat between our co-founder, Hannah Williams, and VC maverick, Ted Dintersmith on "Follow Your Different".

They specifically talk about how we as students can become prepared with practical skills and impact portfolios, rather than through traditional learning.

Here’s my big takeaway:

Each day, there is only so much we can do and so much we can learn. But understanding what is on the horizon for our collective future is the most important thing we can invest in.

AI is here to stay. Personal branding as well. And it’s up to us to become prepared for it all.

So how is this accomplished? HOW can you become prepared for this future?

That's what you'll begin to find out in our 1 Day Sprint…
